Once upon a time: TV show review.

PETER

Um, so the reason for my obsession with peter pan is not only peter pan 2 but also OUAT peter pan. His character means a lot to me but if I’m being honest, ever since I found out Peter Pan was Rumple's dad, I’ve been kind of turned off by him. Like I never realized how old he was. He’s Henry’s GREAT grandpa. That’s so creepy. And I ship Peter Pan with Wendy (Who by the way is ON THE ISLAND AND REUNITED WITH BAE) but like it’s weird. Like yes, Wendy is old too but she was friends with bae and they were originally the same age and Peter is bae’s grandpa. Imagine being shipped with your friends' grandpa! Plus I’m starting to think I only ship Peter and Wendy when Henry is in Peters body. Which I hope isn’t the case as Wendy is too good for fuckin Henry. Which brings me to my next topic.

LOVE TRIANGLE

So. Hook, Bae, and Emma. The whole age situation isn’t as creepy as the peter pan situation but it’s not great. Hook and Bae were friends when Bae was a child and hook was an adult (In his 20s I’m assuming) then Hook abandoned Bae and sent him off to Pan. Years later, when bae was in his 20s (I assume) he had a kid (Henry) with Emma then left her. Emma gave the kid up for adoption (the evil queen adopted him) and then went on with her life single and free. She confesses her love for bae in the season 2 finale right before he goes through a portal (where he meets Mulan and Aurora) and she’s left heartbroken thinking he’s dead. Then her, her parents, Hook, the evil queen and Rumple go to Neverland to save Henry from Peter (AKA rumples dad and Henry's great grandpa, but that isn’t learnt by viewers until episode 7) While on this journey Hook develops strong feelings for Emma and she develops low key feelings for him that she won’t admit to herself or anyone else. Bae finds a portal from fairytale land to Neverland so that he could reunite with his love, Emma and his son, Henry. Hook and Emma share a kiss when Hook saves her dad from dying due to dark shade poisoning but she claims it means nothing - even though it did. Peter tells Hook that Bae is, in fact, alive and in Neverland looking for them hoping Hook will keep it as a secret from Emma but as the nobleman Hook is, he tells Emma the truth that Bae is alive and on the island. Hook confesses his feelings to Emma on the way to save Bae (who had been held captive by the lost boys on Peter's orders). When Bae and Emma are reunited, they confess their love for each other once again even though Emma knows about Hook’s feelings for her. They all continue trying to find Henry but Hook tries to make Emma choose. She refuses to choose as she just wants to find her son. Bae and Hook have multiple fights, causing them to almost lose peter’s shadow (their way out of Neverland) and Emma is sick of it. They save Henry but Emma still hasn’t chosen. Personally, I don’t want Hook and Bae to make Emma choose yet because I know she’ll choose bae which I dislike A LOT. Although, I think both Bae and Emma are very ignorant and irritating and I think Hook can do a lot better but I still ship them as she makes Hook happy and makes him a better man.

SNOWS NAME.

Mary-Margaret. Pretty name. NOT. Snow is a pretty name. But fucking Snow White decided to change it to MARY FUCKING MARGARET. It’s like she couldn’t decide between the name Mary and the name Margaret when she was renaming herself so she used them BOTH. The two most hideous names and she decided to use them both????? They might be common, but seriously EW. I refuse to call her Mary Margaret instead I’ll call her Snow because that’s actually a nice name!!!! LITERALLY, NO ONE LIKES THOSE NAMES.

SNOW AND CHARMING.

They are actually so cute, he believes in her and she will never leave his side. To cure Charmings dark shade poisoning, Hook gave him special water from Neverland and it saved him but all magic comes with a price...if he leaves neverland it will wear off and he will die. When he told Snow this she freaked out and stopped talking to him out of anger as he didn’t tell her until it was too late. She promised to stay with him even if it meant leaving her daughter, Emma.

WENDY AND HER BROTHERS

When Rumple and the evil queen sent Ariel back to Storybrooke to get something to kill Peter, Ariel meets Belle, Rumples loved one. They work together to find the object to kill peter while trying to avoid the men who want to beat them to it! It’s revealed by Rumple in earlier episodes that they are very dangerous. Belle and Ariel find themselves in a sticky situation where the two men have them tied to chairs with rope, back to back with a gun to their faces. The men take the object from the girls and take it to the mines to destroy it so it can’t harm Peter. Ariel and Belle get out of the ropes by taking off ariels magical bracelet turning her legs back into a tail stretching the rope enough to get them out. They run to the mines and get there right before the men destroy the object. The men reveal that their sister is being held captive by Peter Pan and they have to work for him in order for Peter to not hurt their sister. At first, I was confused. Who could be their sister? Tinkerbell? No. these are two grown men around Bae's age and they aren't fairies. We must not have been introduced to their sister yet. But then I remembered Wendy was on the island, held captive by Peter. I literally started hyperventilating. This was Michael and John! All grown up!! Wendy went to Neverland to try and save Bae after Peter’s shadow took him while saving her and her brothers. She has been held captive by Peter for all that time while Bae was living his life outside of Neverland hooking up with girls and impregnating Emma. She stayed young due to being stuck in Neverland but her brothers and bae all grew up as they weren’t in Neverland. She’s been there for years and all because she wanted to save bae. The brothers have been working for peter pan for a very long time in order to stop him from killing Wendy. Maybe they’ll just keep working for him until they die, and Wendy will be stuck in Neverland forever.

ARIEL

In ariels episode, she saved Snow White from drowning after Snow jumped off a cliff into a body of water trying to escape the evil queen. They became friends and Ariel had legs for a short amount of time so that she could go to a royal ball and find Eric, the prince she saved from a shipwreck a year earlier. Snow went to the ball with Ariel as a supportive friend. Ariel danced with Eric at the party and he even asked her to go on an adventure, traveling the world on his boat starting the next day. She said maybe and then told Snow everything that happened. Snow suggested Ariel tell Eric the truth about her being a mermaid but Ariel said she wasn’t sure if she was ready. Ariel needed some time alone to think, so, she left the ball and went to the beach. She talked to the goddess Ursula and Ursula told her not to tell the truth but instead gave her a gift. Ariel met with Snow outside the palace where she told her about Ursula's gift. It was a bracelet that she could give snow to wear instantly giving Snow a tail and Ariel legs. That way Snow could escape the evil queen by being a mermaid and Ariel could be with Eric forever without telling him the truth. Snow put the bracelet on and suddenly had a tail, Ariel had legs. Then the evil queen appeared. Snow had a tail and couldn’t get up in order to get in the water and swim away so she was trapped. The evil queen warned Ariel to run away and be with Eric. Ariel ran away, leaving Snow to die at the evil queens' hands. Then Ariel returned and stabbed the evil queen in the neck with a fork. She took Snow’s bracelet off and jumped into the water as a mermaid with Snow a human and they swam away. If I were Ariel I would have just left to go get my man lmao not lying tho.

BELLE

So um let’s begin with her accent. Usually, I don’t discriminate due to accents but isn’t Belle supposed to be French or something? She has an Aussie accent lol. Plus I didn’t even realize she was Belle until someone finally addressed her. She’s an okay character, far from my favourite but she’s not as awful as some. I must admit her and Rumple are kinda cute but I don’t think they should end up together, they're too old.
